Düsseldorf, October 2020 :: The International Tube Association is setting up an online portal where Association members with a stand at the Tube 2020 trade fair in Düsseldorf can interact with colleagues and potential clients who cannot be in at the expo in person.
Faced with the difficult conditions imposed by COVID19, the ITA fully endorsed the decision to re-arrange one of the most important dates on its calendar—which was moved from April to December this year—whilst ensuring full compliance with “strict new hygiene and social distancing rules” at the trade fair grounds.
However, the organization realizes that many are still faced with restrictions and cannot all meet in Düsseldorf as usual. Hence the idea to support those ITA members that will be exhibiting under challenging conditions in December. Wishing to encourage the usual level of exchange, the ITA is offering exhibitors and visitors a platform—a bespoke website—to help enhance contact with one another.
Here, exhibitors have a virtual space to introduce themselves and their products, and customers and business partners have the opportunity to contact the exhibitors personally, for example via video chat.
ITA members with a stand at Tube 2020 can find out more about the costs involved in this, and other opportunities to extend their reach far beyond the physical space occupied at the expo grounds by contacting the ITA head office. Sponsoring opportunities are also available. Visitor registration is free of charge.
As Dr. Gunther Voswinckel, President of the ITA, said, trade fairs are still “indispensable marketing tools in these times. We look forward to finally talking to customers and suppliers in the tube industry personally again.”
