before it requires changing. A low sensor indicator will appear on the screen, warning that a new sensor is required. Once that icon appears, it provides the user with adequate time to obtain a new sensor, which can be fitted like changing a battery and the monitor can be re-calibrated easily by the user.
With a clear, easy to read LCD screen, the PurgEye® 100 boasts a 24 mm high display with features such as a low battery icon as well as the low sensor icon. When the monitor is not in use, an automatic sleep mode activates to conserve battery life.

The Weld Purge Monitor® was invented by HFT® in the 1970’s and with over 40 years of inno- vation, design and manufacturing experience, the company now has a Family of PurgEye® Weld Purge Monitors® to measure oxygen levels from atmospheric content (20.94%) down to 1 ppm (accurate to 10 ppm).
Huntingdon Fusion Techniques HFT® have a Worldwide Exclusive Distributor network, which can be found at www.huntingdonfusion. com.

Save Money by Restricting your
Weld Purge Zone
It is often very common for welders to spend hours waiting for their weld purge level to be low enough to begin welding. Without restrict- ing the purge zone with an inflat- able pipe purging system when welding stainless steel, titanium or zirconium tube and pipes, dis- placing the oxygen in entire pipe- lines with an inert gas (usually argon), can cause a lot of wasted time and gas.
Experts in the field of tube and pipe weld purging, Huntingdon Fusion Techniques HFT® design and manufacture PurgElite®, a range of low cost Tube and Pipe Purging Systems to achieve a clean, oxide free, zero colour weld in just minutes.
Ron Sewell, Chairman for HFT® said: “To save welders the expense of completely filling tubes and pipes with an inert gas, PurgElite® Systems are available. They inflate and seal in the pipe, restricting the
volume that is needed to be purged. This not only saves welders time waiting for pipes to be purged, but also inert gas costs.”
“Manufactured to suit pipe diame- ters from as low as 1” right up to 24” (25 to 600 mm), each system is made with a special Weld Purge Monitor® connection, so you can
really keep a close eye on your purge!”
The special spinal tube is resistant to hot metal up to 300oC (572oF) and is super flexible to allow move- ment of the PurgElite® Systems around 180o bends if necessary. These spinal tubes are made of a low outgassing rate material, so
