SYMPOSIUM IN INDIA – Call for Papers

International Tube Association – India Chapter will be holding a one day symposium  INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS FOR GLOBAL COMPETITIVENESS IN TUBE AND PIPE MANUFACTURE in association with Messe Dusseldorf India on October 7th  2016 in Mumbai. This event is being held alongside the ”Tube India International 2016” exhibition organized by Messe Dusseldorf India,  from 5 – 7 October 2016.

The international symposium is organized in the context of the Indian economy growing at a rate of 7.4% well ahead of the large economies like China, Brazil, USA and Germany. The expanding economy offers unique opportunities for the tube and pipe industry both ferrous and non-ferrous to augment their range, volumes and reliability. Sectors which are growing rapidly include automotive, consumer goods and infrastructure. Under the new initiative of the Government of India to “Make in India” investors from around the world are flocking to India to set up and expand their global operations. Demographically nearly 60% of India’s population is below 30 years and their aspirations of the values are driving not only the quantity but also expectations on precision, durability, safety and economy. These pose unique challenges to any manufacturer.

The symposium lays stress on innovation, creativity and new practices related to manufacturing and development.  It is a very good opportunity for professionals, researchers and organisations in the areas of manufacturing, research, new product development, value enhancement and durability to present the work done by them to an audience of discerning stake holders in the tube and piping industry, who continue to make new investments in the area to improve productivity, quality and reliability of products and processes.. International Tube Association typically encourages manufacturers, researchers, educationist and practitioners to present path breaking work that they have undertaken.

Interested professionals and organizations who are keen to present a paper are requested to send a letter of interest immediately by email, preferably before 30th April 2016. This should be followed by a synopsis of their paper including the theme and the scope of the paper with attachments of reference charts and pictures of relevance by 31st May 2016.. The synopsis will be examined by a group who are members of International Tube Association. The outcome would be communicated by International Tube Association to the presenters before 31st July 2016.
