ITA Seminar: Trend-setting technologies and strategies for tubes and pipes
Bound to a turgid oil market, the demand for pipes has been comparatively low over the past few years, but recently, threat- ened sanctions by the US against Iranian and Venezuelan oil and gas exports and fear of shortages sent oil prices spiraling to a four- year high.
Demand in the tubes & pipes sector is growing, but trade ten- sions mean the markets are vola- tile. At the same time, growth and innovationinthemajorpipe-con- suming sectors has led producers to seek consolidation and diver- si cation. While pipe prices con- tinue to climb, more demanding high-tech products are the strate- gic targets, rather than commodi- ty-grade tubes.
With this in mind, the ITA team at Tube Southeast Asia 2019 (18 - 20 September 2019) is holding a Tube & Pipe Industry Develop- ment Seminar on the subject of trend-setting technologies and strategies to take the industry forward. We would like to invite members and colleagues to give a presentation at the event and are now open for abstract submis- sions.
This call is free of charge for exhibitors at Tube Southeast Asia. Companies/ individuals not exhib- iting in Bangkok can participate for a fee. Please contact us for an individual offer.
The theme of the Tube & Pipe Development Seminar 2019 is: Trend-setting Technologies And Strategies For Tubes & Pipes
Interested speakers are invited to submit an abstract (max. 300 words) describing the main ideas of their papers together with the presenter’s résumé/CV (max. 200 words). Abstracts should focus on technical/economic classi ca- tions, new technologies, moderni- zation, R&D or recent case studies rather than company presenta- tions. Joint presentations between pipeline operators and technology providers are welcome. All propos- als received will be considered by our Technical Committee.
Each speaker gets a presentation time of 20 minutes plus Q&A. The presented papers will be published in the conference proceedings and distributed to the confer- ence attendees. All abstracts and papers will also be available free of charge for ITA members six months after the conference.
