SMART CORE X software platform com-
prehensively enhanced
At the heart of all 4D EAGLE S systems is
hybrid technology that delivers both pre-
cise profi le data and reliable classifi cation
of surface defects. In line with the portfolio
expansion, KOCKS and LAP have signifi cant-
ly enhanced the associated SMART CORE
X software platform. The browser-based
solution forms the interface between roll-
ing mill personnel and the measurement
system. Its fully customizable user interface
provides on-demand access to all relevant
measurement data. The characteristics and
profi les of all rolled products are systemat-
ically cataloged and remain fully traceable.
Thanks to open standards, the data can be
utilized throughout the rolling mill – from
process optimization through to external
traceability.

At Wire & Tube 2026, KOCKS and LAP will
showcase their solutions around the 4D EA-
GLE S systems and SMART CORE X. Visitors
will gain in-depth insights into the expanded
capabilities of profi le measurement and
