ITA INDIA CHAPTER held a Con- ference titled Transformation of tubes and pipes manufacturing adopting digital technologies in Mumbai alongside the Tube, Met- allurgy and Welding Fair organized by Messe Dusseldorf India. The Conference was organized into 3 sessions , the first , Concept of Digital Technologies in Manufac- turing of Tubes and Pipes, focused on the adoption of Digital Tech- nologies in stand alone equip- ment. The second titled THE BIG PICTURE , spelt out the concepts behind how a flow process system can be digitally integrated and interlinked so that they provide a total holistic solution. The third titled THE SILENT REVOLUTION dwelt on case studies from com- panies that have already adopted Digital Technologies and their experience on objective setting and realization.
Some of the big corporations that presented papers are Trumpf, Data M Software, Inductotherm India, Welspun Corp, B&R Automation, SAP, Siemens India , Accenture and Tata Steel . 108 delegates attended the Conference and the feedback was very positive for its distinct focus on emerging manu- facturing practices.
ITA India Chapter is embarking on organizing a Conference focused on the Automotive Industry in November 2019.
