Changes at the top at ITA

Following the annual general meeting of the ITA held on 14 April 2010 during Tube Düsseldorf a number of changes and additions to officer positions as well as to committees were agreed by attending ITA members.

Recipient of the John C Hogg Lifetime Achievement Award for Tube Düsseldorf 2010, Professor M Kiuchi, formerly President of the ITA, was created Honorary Life President Emeritus.

Dr Gunther Voswinckel became the new ITA President and Mr T Nakata the new ITA Chairman. Former ITA Chairman Mr Albert Sedlmaier was voted Vice President (Europe) in succession to Dr Voswinckel. Acting Honorary Treasurer Mr Mike Bull was formally elected as Honorary Treasurer.

Newly elected members of the International Executive Management Board were Messrs M Cottin and Mr Srikanth Narayan. At an Indian Management Board meeting on 14 April at Tube 2010 the board elected Mr Nitin Agrawal to its strength.
