Joint regional technical conference in Beijing, 22-23 September 2009

The ITA is represented in China by the China Cold Roll-forming Steel Association (CCRSA) and it has been agreed that both organisations will co-organise a joint technical conference in Beijing in 2009. Pipe & Tube Beijing 2009 will take place at the North China University of Technology 22-23 September 2009 and its theme will be “Advanced manufacturing techniques for pipes and tubes for structural, oil, gas and auto industries”.

Pipe & Tube Beijing 2009’s conference programme will feature a balance of local and international speakers covering market overview presentations as well as technical presentations for the three sectors highlighted in the title theme above. Added attractions to the conference will be table top exhibits and optional plant tours to an oil/gas tube producer, an auto tube producer and possibly a technical tour and explanation of the iconic Birds Nest Olympic stadium.

A number of academic research papers are likely to be included also in the technical programme that is expected to attract a large Chinese audience as well as international delegates, attracted by both the programme and the excellent networking opportunities provided. The conference will be conducted in simultaneous Chinese and English.
