TUBE INDIA 2003 REPORT:

ITA Enjoy Successful Tube India International 2003 Exhibition

The recent Tube India International Exhibition sponsored by the International Tube Association in the wonderful new HITEX exhibition complex in Hyderabad proved to be a very successful one for the Association.

Over the three days of the exhibition the ITA stand received a constant stream of visitors. There was particular interest in the Association’s range of activities over the next year with Tube Russia 2003 exhibition and the Tube Veracruz conference in Mexico in October 2003 generating the most interest.

Many visitors expressed interest in becoming members of the ITA and 18 even applied to join on the spot.

Many existing members were attending the exhibition, either as visitors or exhibitors and all were impressed by the superb facilities at HITEX, now considered to be the best in India and certainly world class. Early indications from exhibitors are that the level of interest experienced on the stands and of enquiries received was good for what was an inaugural event.

As the word spreads throughout India and the Middle East about the standard of the facilities at HITEX and the professionalism brought to the event by the organisers CIDEX, a subsidiary of Messe Dusseldorf GmbH, it is certain to lead to higher and higher visitor attendance levels at exhibitions held there making the site THE venue in India for major shows. This augurs well for the next Tube India International, due to be held in 2005.
