Good Results from Tube China 2008 for ITA

The ITA had a satisfactory exhibition and its booth was very busy on days one and two. At the end of the first day the ITA held a special reception jointly with its Chinese representative CCRSA for Chinese member and VIP guests, attended by fifty guests.

During the trade fair were 11 new ITA member applications, 10 from China and 1 from Iran, with more expected to follow in the next few weeks. The ITA received 25 serious enquiries from Chinese contacts interested in ITA membership as well as other exhibitions, conferences etc and 18 from India with the vast majority wishing to apply to join the ITA via our Kolkata office. A number of visitors to the booth expressed considerable interest in the Pipe & Tube Istanbul 2009 technical conference. In total nearly 70 enquiries were recorded by the ITA during Tube China 2008.

The dates of the 2010 event are yet to be confirmed, although it is certain to be in September of that year. More exhibitor space will certainly be required in 2010, given that this year's event was considerably over-subscribed. The ITA is considering a suggestion from a major local sponsoring organisation for a supporting ferrous tube conference just before the start of the 2010 exhibition.
